Paul Newman is a celebrity in my book for reasons that go beyond his acting roles. I must admit, I don't think I've even seen one of his movies in its entirety (well, I did see Cars once). Paul Newman's philanthropy and fidelity are what I admire most. Since creating Newman's Own in 1982, more than $250 million have been donated to charities. And, he and his wife, Joanne Woodward, were married for more than 50 years, quite a rarity in the celebrity world. He has been quoted as saying "I have steak at home. Why go out for hamburger?" Quite an amazing man.
